CP. It looks in good condition, but not $13,000 12 year old BMW condition.

Highest possible number I could get Edmunds to value it at was $8245, and that's for dealer retail assuming every option and "Outstanding" condition. So while a nice car, I'm gonna say price needs to come down at least a few grand.

CP. It's just too much money. Otherwise the car looks great!

I'd say it's a really nice car, I would love to own it, but not for more than $10K.

For reference .

In my opinion, that's a very decent NP for a low-mileage vehicle in such great shape; however, I would be concerned about high maintenance costs, butt if that's not a worry (for you), then this might just be a "keeper".

At $13K a CP, but the ad does state obo. He probably wants $10K for it. It checks every single box. NP at $10K.

Hubba hubba.

$10k sounds like a NP.

CP. I would pay $13k for a Manual transmission 540iT, and I only know of one in the US that is a factory manual transmission car.

Considering you can get a decent E39 M5 with 100k on the clock for $15K, this is a bit much.

My father and I have been looking for a used wagon for a while. He has a thing for the V70, but likes the E-class and 5 series estates as well. As the others have said, $10k cash would probably take this, and that's our budget for this purchase. I'm going to look into it.

I think even $10k is toward the upper end of the market for this. It doesn't mention it in the ad, but you want to make sure the coolant pipe has been replaced. It's a known issue for BMW V8s of this era, and its not a matter of if, but when. The official BMW repair involves pulling the engine, but the aftermarket solution is a telescoping pipe. I think is was about $2300 when I had mine done last year.
